We have been to Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA a couple of times and every time we go, I come back with great images. When Hannah contacted me last year and told me that she was from Erie, I immediately asked her if we could shoot at Presque Isle. They excitedly agreed and we ended up shooting their engagement session in October. I feel that it is an understatement to say that it was windy. It was crazy! It hurt! And by the time we got back in the car after the session, we were dumping sand out of every possible area that it could have gotten into. Honestly though, we had a fantastic time with these two, who are ridiculously natural models.
The picture below is one of my favorites. The “fog” in the background is actually sand that is whipping around the beach. We put them by the tree to try to shelter them as much as possible and ended up with this romantic image. Later on in the session, Eric found a perfect little outcropping of trees and brush that sheltered us from virtually all of the wind but allowed us to capture the water in the background (2nd image). This is why I always tell people that Eric and I make the best team!
Hannah and Collin, we are beyond excited to be part of your big day this year!
